This artistic collective aimed to involve more women in the Bored Ape community and to help NFT artists who did not own an original Bored Ape to have at least one derivative work. It was there that I created my first food monkey, a mix born from my passion for food photography, collage and animation. My first food monkey, which was the first of its kind in the web3 world, blended food and digital art in a way that captured everyone\u2019s attention. After seeing this piece at an exhibition at Palazzo Merulana, Rome, in January 2021, a journalist wrote a beautiful article calling me the contemporary Arcimboldo. Seeing how much people appreciated that first monkey made me want to create more. The wave of affection pushed the idea of turning this concept into a full collection.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-19bc3b3 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"19bc3b3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It did not happen immediately that the small idea turned into a bigger project. I had to reflect for a long time on the possibilities and understand the best method to expand my work. This period of reflection and planning was significant. It was a moment in which the seed planted by the first artwork began to grow and to transform into something bigger and more important. But producing each piece by hand was a long and complex process, so I decided to collaborate with AI in the autumn of 2023.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-91c4400 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"91c4400\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Often it took hours of work to make the artificial intelligence create each piece exactly as I wanted it to look, taste or feel. Some images were created in about thirty minutes, others required much more time. After completing the artificial intelligence part, I dedicated at least another half hour to each image in Photoshop, making changes and adding elements through photo composition to create the perfect images. It took weeks of careful work to choose and arrange the right traits for each character. The procedure for developing their characteristics was very complicated.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0187229 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0187229\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>I inaugurated the Food Ape Society in February 2025.<\/p><p>By studying culinary and artistic history, I discovered something important: food has always been the first language of people, the method for interacting with strangers and the thread that connects all cultures. This is why these apes are like images of what happens when we take a pause, breathe, and remember that every ingredient has a story, every dish carries ancestral wisdom, and every flavour is an invitation to discover someone else\u2019s culture. <\/p><p>The food apes are a symbol of delicacies from all over the world, designed to remind us that food and awareness are languages everyone can understand and that connect people of different cultures in peace. These works highlight the richness of other cultures, the beauty of food, and how yoga can aid in meditation. They ask: \u201cWhat if our food could help us be patient?\u201d \u201cWhat if our meals encourage us to breathe?\u201d \u201cWhat if every bite were a way to connect with civilisations we have never been part of?\u201d  <\/p><p>This collection leaves a digital legacy that recognises the link between cuisine, culture and life with purpose. These things will remind us in the future of a time when we chose to celebrate differences, honour culinary wisdom and remember that peace begins with understanding, which often starts with sharing a meal. <\/p><p>When you own a Food Ape, you take care of a piece of culinary history.
